So are the new NKD @Doritos gluten free? That is the question. If you're not aware, these are the new Doritos that recently came out that don't have artificial dyes or flavors. And I was excited to have Jax try them! On the @target website, it literally shows gluten free on the bag. But when they arrived in the mail, there was no such marking. It was blank. Yet when you go to the @Pepsi gluten free product list (they are the parent company of @Frito-Lay Brands that makes Doritos ) the NKD Doritos and Cheetos are listed. They state that they have validated through analytical testing that the listed products contain less than 20 PPM of gluten. Would you eat these? In general, Frito Lay is very good at labeling gluten free products on the package, such as @lays , baked Lays, Fritos , Cheetos, etc. So it just seems a little strange that these would be on the list, but not labeled on the bag. What's up with that Frito Lay and Pepsi ? Now, if gluten was required to be labeled on packaged foods as a Major Food Allergen we wouldn't have a problem.
